What is The Earth Prize?
The Earth Prize is an international competition for students aged 13 to 19 that encourages and supports young people in developing innovative solutions to address urgent environmental challenges worldwide. Organized by The Earth Foundation, the competition has attracted thousands of students from over 150 countries.
Purpose and Significance of the Competition
The competition aims to raise environmental awareness among the younger generation while providing students with the opportunity to apply scientific and technological knowledge to develop practical projects that make a positive impact on the Earth. Besides attractive financial prizes, The Earth Prize offers intensive coaching programs to help teams refine and develop their projects.
Awards and Structure
The first-place winning team receives $50,000 USD. Three runner-up teams each receive $12,500 USD. Starting in 2025, there will also be regional awards, with seven teams winning $12,500 USD each. Additionally, outstanding teachers and mentors receive special awards.
